Antonieta Cruz Villasante Amerena

Antonieta Cruz is an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group at Haynes and Boone, S.C.

She has professional experience as internal and external counsel, having previously worked in other legal firms and as in-house lawyer of regulated entities pertaining to the financial services industry.

Antonieta's practice areas include banking, financial law, corporate law, commercial law, corporate governance and compliance. She has participated in several projects and transactions advising Mexican and foreign clients in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, credit facilities, syndicate loans, finance transactions, loan restructurings, and is focuses on compliance matters related to the federal law on protection of personal data held by private parties and the federal law for the prevention and identification of operation with funds from illicit sources, as well as legal aspects of day-to-day business.
