Jason Wright is an Associate in the White Collar Criminal Defense, Antitrust, and Securities Litigation Practice Group. He has assisted with internal investigations, corporate litigation, and antitrust matters for clients in several industries.

Before law school, Jason gained significant international security and defense experience while serving eight years in the Marine Corps as a Scout Sniper team leader and instructor, and for two years as an independent contractor operating in support of U.S. government activities overseas.

Representative Experience

  • Corporate internal investigations related to unauthorized computer access, data breach, insider trading and whistleblower complaints.
  • Aggressive prosecution of a wire manufacturer’s unfair competition counterclaims involving standard-setting violations, resulting in a settlement favorable to the client’s underlying patent infringement defenses.
  • Antitrust counseling related to merger integration and divestitures in two separate acquisitions for an international telecommunications company.
  • Regulatory counseling for a new technology company’s nationwide entry into a services and product market heavily dominated by state licensing requirements.
  • Defense of a foreign lighting manufacturer and its U.S. subsidiary against breach of contract, quantum meruit, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty claims related to the end of a customer relationship.
  • Summary judgment dismissal of an investment bank's quantum meruit and fraud claims based on alleged services provided for an international corporate acquisition.
  • Achieved favorable judgment with treble damages under the Texas Consumer Protection-Deceptive Trade Practices Act for pro bono client defrauded in consumer auto transaction.
