Judith Elkin in the Wall Street Journal: IWIRC Celebrates Members on 20th Anniversary

Sheryl Sandberg, take note: A group of restructuring professionals have already been leaning in—and leaning on each other—for two decades.

The International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, or IWIRC, on Thursday celebrated its 20th anniversary of connecting and promoting women, who remain a minority in their field despite making tremendous strides in recent years...

Haynes and Boone, LLP bankruptcy partner Judith Elkin, a past IWIRC chair and one of the group’s original members, received the Melnik Award for exceptional contributions by an IWIRC member. In accepting her award, she praised the “unbelievable dedication, warmth and spirit” of IWIRC’s members, which she said will help the group continue to grow.

“IWIRC’s first 20 years are just the beginning—and as women, we age beautifully,” Elkin said.
