International firm Haynes and Boone, LLP has added a former Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP partner and onetime senior litigator for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to bolster the antitrust and competition practice group in its Washington, D.C., office, the firm announced on Wednesday.

Thomas Lang, also a former military intelligence officer, joined the firm Monday as partner, bringing with him antitrust experience ranging from academia to government to private practice. Lang spent the past five years at Morgan Lewis, and Haynes and Boone on Wednesday lauded his decision to come to the firm.

“It is rare to find a lawyer with as much hands-on litigation experience as Tom,” D.C. office administrative partner Phil Hampton said in a statement on Wednesday.

Haynes and Boone’s D.C. office is the firm’s base for representing its regional to international clients before federal regulatory agencies and courts and international tribunals, the firm said.
