Austin is home to many impressive female professionals who are not only excellent at their jobs but also take the time to give back. More than 100 of them were nominees in Austin Business Journal's 22nd annual Profiles in Power program, which seeks to highlight the expertise and insight these women provide to their organizations as well as the city at large. Ultimately, six winners and 24 finalists were recognized Thursday at a luncheon at the JW Marriott Austin hotel...
To select the winners, a panel of judges made up of past winners evaluated more than 100 viable candidates... Twenty-four other finalists were honored for their contributions to their companies and the community [including] Laura Prather, partner at Haynes and Boone.
