Haynes and Boone Recognized in Second Edition of Best Lawyers and U.S. News “Best Law Firms” Survey

DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP has earned top national and metropolitan rankings in the second edition of the U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” survey.
The firm earned seven National Tier 1 rankings in 2011, compared to a single top rating last year. In fact, Haynes and Boone saw improvement in each category for which it was recognized in 2010.
National Tier 1 levels were obtained in Corporate Governance Law, Corporate Law, Franchise Law, Litigation - Labor & Employment, Litigation - Real Estate, Project Finance Law and Technology Law.
National Tier 2 rankings were given for the following: Antitrust Law, Banking and Finance Law, Bankruptcy and Creditor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law, International Trade and Finance Law, Litigation - Bankruptcy, Litigation - Intellectual Property, Litigation - Regulatory Enforcement (SEC, Telecom, Energy), Oil & Gas Law, Real Estate Law, Securities / Capital Markets Law, Securities Regulation and Venture Capital Law.
Appellate Practice, Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, Energy Law, Environmental Law, Labor Law - Management, Litigation - Antitrust, Litigation - ERISA, Litigation - Securities, Litigation - Trusts & Estates, Tax Law and Trusts & Estates Law were awarded National Tier 3 honors.
These rankings, which are presented in tiers, showcase 9,633 different law firms ranked nationally in one or more of 75 major legal practice areas and in metropolitan or state rankings in one or more of 119 major legal practice areas. Clients and peers were asked to assess law firms for their responsiveness, understanding of client business needs, cost-effectiveness, integrity, civility, and whether they would refer a client to the law firm.
The national first-tier rankings will be featured in U.S. News and World Report’s ‘Money’ issue on newsstands Nov. 15.
