Experienced Lawyers and Patent Agents

Experienced lawyers and patent agents from some of the nation’s leading firms and from high-profile positions in government and companies have joined Haynes Boone—because we offer the opportunities for professional excellence and personal satisfaction they value.

Values That We Live By

Our lawyers and staff are enriched and challenged in an environment that emphasizes and embraces teamwork, flexibility and skill development. With a culture that encourages open communication and respect among colleagues, we enjoy working together.

These values have tangible rewards. As a member of Haynes Boone, you will find:

  • A compensation system focused on teamwork and finding the best lawyer for the job, rather than encouraging work hoarding
  • An emphasis on client service and extraordinary relationship management, with billing rates that combine the best elements of value for the client and reward for you.
  • A collaborative approach to marketing and staffing matters that invites you to collaborate with other top lawyers.
  • An environment where we truly enjoy our clients, our work and each other.

Best Fit for our Clients and the Firm

Haynes Boone periodically has openings for experienced lawyers in different practice groups and offices. We evaluate each lateral’s experience, maturity, intelligence, interests, communication skills and motivation in making our hiring decisions. We seek only those lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional strengths as evidenced by their rank in their various schools and a solid reputation in the profession and their communities.

Candidate Evaluation and Recruitment Process

Haynes Boone uses the Suited Assessment as part of our non-partner candidate evaluation and recruitment process to expand our consideration of candidates beyond traditional hiring metrics. Information on what is measured by the assessment, Suited’s data retention policies, and how to request a reasonable accommodation may be found here ¹. Completing the Suited assessment is a mandatory part of our recruiting process when we get to a certain stage of the interviews; however, should you believe that even with appropriate reasonable accommodations enabled you require an alternative selection procedure, please email Amanda Kelly, Senior Manager of Lateral Recruiting. To see the results of our AEDT bias audit required under New York City Local Law 144, please click here ².
