    What is the typical timeline for the hiring process?

    Associate candidates can expect to have an initial meeting or a phone screen with one or two partners in the section followed by a full round of in-office interviews, which typically includes lunch with 2 associates. Counsel and Partner candidates typically have an initial meeting with one or two partners in the section, a full round of interviews in the local office, and a final round of interviews in the Dallas office to meet with members of firm management as well as section and department leaders.

  • Q:
    Will the firm reimburse travel expenses for interviews?

    If travel is required for interviews, the firm will cover the cost of your hotel and flight; you will be reimbursed for meals and taxi transportation from your trip. The Attorney Recruitment Department will put you in touch with our travel coordinator, who will help you book your flight and hotel accommodations. Travel for interviews typically requires a hotel stay of one night. Please see the Reimbursement Guidelines for additional details.

  • Q:
    What is the firm's bar exam Policy?

    Lateral attorneys are expected to be a member of the state bar in which their Haynes and Boone office is located. The firm will reimburse lateral attorneys for bar exam registration fees, BarBri preparation courses, and fees related to waiving in to the state bar.

    Will the firm reimburse moving expenses?

    Haynes and Boone, LLP will reimburse lateral attorneys for reasonable moving expenses for both in-state and out-of-state relocation.
