Haynes and Boone Elects 2011 Class of New Partners
DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP has elevated four associates and two of counsel to partnership. The newly elected partners are David Bell, Karen Denney, Jeff S. Dinerstein, Trevor Hoffmann, Yasser Madriz and Ryan McConnell.

ASSOCIATES ELECTED PARTNERS
David Bell is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Dallas. Mr. Bell concentrates on procuring, managing and enforcing trademarks for clients with domestic and international portfolios. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property and domain name disputes; counsels clients on emerging technology and branding trends, including smart phone applications, online scams and social media issues; and protects companies' product designs.
Karen Denney is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group in Fort Worth. Ms. Denney is experienced in a wide range of labor and employment issues, including employment litigation and arbitration matters; negotiations and proceedings with the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission; and counseling employers on various issues concerning hiring, disciplining and terminating employees, covenants not to compete and investigating harassment and discrimination complaints.
Jeff S. Dinerstein is a member of the Business Planning and Tax Practice Group in Houston. Mr. Dinerstein has experience in both state and federal taxation and has worked with partnerships, LLCs, and public and privately-held corporations. His experience includes advising clients on the tax aspects of numerous taxable and tax-free acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, restructurings and financings.
Yasser Madriz is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in Houston. Mr. Madriz has extensive experience handling complex, high-stakes commercial litigation and has played key roles in various multi-billion-dollar cases filed throughout the United States. His cases cover a range of commercial issues, including business organization and complex transaction-based disputes, franchise-related controversies, energy litigation (oil, gas and power), contract disputes and insurance and re-insurance coverage claims. Mr. Madriz's Latin American roots and fluency in Spanish have enabled him to develop experience in representing Latin American clients in international and cross-border disputes.

Trevor Hoffmann is a member of the Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring Practice Group in New York. Mr. Hoffmann has national and international experience representing debtors and creditor constituencies in significant corporate reorganization proceedings, financial restructurings and commercial litigation. Most recently, Mr. Hoffmann has been involved in some of 2010’s most significant restructurings, including Innkeepers USA Trust and FX Luxury Las Vegas.
Ryan McConnell is a member of the White Collar Criminal Defense Practice Group in Houston. Mr. McConnell is a former federal prosecutor focusing his private practice on business litigation, white collar defense and advising clients on corporate compliance issues. During his four-year tenure as an assistant United States attorney in Houston and Baton Rouge, Mr. McConnell tried more than a dozen criminal cases and conducted grand jury investigations of national and international scope. Mr. McConnell is a frequent speaker on compliance issues and has written a number of articles discussing empirical compliance data gathered from Justice Department criminal prosecutions and addressing Justice Department corporate charging trends, charging principles and corporate monitors. He also teaches criminal procedure and national security law at the University of Houston Law Center.
