Sean Perryman works as an associate in the Business Litigation and Insurance Litigation Practice Groups. Sean represents clients in all facets of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on insurance coverage litigation. His prior legal experience includes clerking in the Appellate Division of the New York City Law Department where he wrote appellate briefs on behalf of the City. Sean also clerked in the Vanderbilt University General Counsel’s Office where he provided research and advice on hospital policies and other matters related to the University.

Before joining Haynes and Boone, Sean gained experience in international affairs through an internship at the United Nations and was one of two Colin Powell Fellows interning at the United States State Department in the Intelligence Division.

Sean uses these professional experiences in providing in-depth and thorough research and analyses to advocate effectively and efficiently on behalf of clients.

Sean’s experience includes:

  • Internal investigations of subsidiaries on behalf of the parent company.
  • Representing a client in a trademark and breach of contract claim.
  • Counseling clients on directors and officers (D&O) litigation and the coverage provided by their insurance policies.
  • Advising clients on the insurance coverage inherited after an acquisition.
  • Representing clients in a breach of fiduciary duty claim.
  • Helping implement new policies at a major hospital.
