Varant Yegparian is an associate in the Business Litigation Practice Group in the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone, LLP.

Varant's practice focuses on commercial litigation in both state and federal court. Varant has experience in a diverse array of matters ranging from lender liability lawsuits to bankruptcy-related litigation to federal criminal investigations of corporations to breach of contract and fraud disputes.

Varant has a strong understanding of the discovery process, including e-discovery issues, and the need to control costs in the prosecution or defense of claims in federal and state court.

Selected Representations

  • Representation of a major U.S. bank in a lender liability lawsuit arising out of the financial collapse of Adelphia Communications Corporation.
  • Defense of a charitable organization in a breach of contract lawsuit resulting in a settlement on terms highly favorable to the charity.
  • Representation of an individual sued for fraud and breach of contract, resulting in dismissal of claims at the summary judgment level and settlement of remaining claims.
  • Successful prosecution of client's interest in discovery dispute resulting in award of attorney's fees and court order awarding sanctions to client and holding opposing party in contempt.
  • Assisting in client's representation in a federal criminal investigation into municipal corruption.
