Haynes and Boone’s Washington, D.C. office recently moved to a new location.
The Washington, D.C., office serves as a base for representing regional, national and international clients before federal government regulatory agencies, federal courts, international tribunals and in complex transactions of all kinds.
The regulatory work, especially in the antitrust, securities enforcement, energy, and international trade areas, provides clients with the highest quality governmental and regulatory experience encompassing counseling, enforcement and litigation issues.
Our Washington lawyers maintain excellent working relationships with senior White House and Executive Branch officials, and with key members of Congress and their staffs. Many have backgrounds rich in government service. Posts they have held include:
- Executive director of the Maryland Public Service Commission
- Assistant general counsel of the U.S. International Trade Commission
- Assistant Commissioner for Trademarks at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
The office’s focus also includes sophisticated corporate and finance work on which attorneys work in tandem with colleagues in the New York office as well as an expanding intellectual property and technology transactions practice that further leverages the firm’s Texas and California IP capabilities.
