06/10/2011

DALLAS – Fifty Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyers have been recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2011 in its annual law firm rankings.

This year, the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice broke into the national rankings, bringing to four the number of Haynes and Boone groups touted by Chambers USA researchers as leading U.S. practices. The other three, Corporate/M&ABankruptcy/Restructuring and Franchise and Distribution, maintained their nationally ranked status.

Also, the New York-based Real Estate practice made its debut in both the leasing and real estate finance categories. The group was acknowledged for its "market-recognized special expertise in several areas, including hotels, office properties, mixed-use properties, gaming, healthcare facilities, retail properties and residential communities." Partner Robert Grados was singled out for his work with national and regional financial institutions and institutional investors, while Partner Stuart Mass was highlighted for his representation of large investment funds in leasing deals.

Comprehensive Chambers USA 2011 results show where the practices and individuals rank compared to peer law firms. Haynes and Boone’s collective results mark a rise in the rankings for nine attorneys and five practice groups, with six attorneys newly ranked. Also, 40 attorneys and 13 practice groups maintained their rankings. Five practice groups rose in the rankings.

“We look at these numbers as verification we are doing our job well, and I commend all recognized individuals for their hard work,” said Terry Conner, Haynes and Boone’s managing partner. “Recognition of this kind only comes from clients who give us superior reviews, and we take pride in this.”

Independent and objective, Chambers USA is carefully researched and widely considered to be the most reputable law firm directory in the world. Its rankings are based on thousands of interviews with leading practitioners and clients from coast to coast.
