Since commencing practice in 1983, Steven Wilson has represented a broad array of clients in real estate, real estate lending, and commercial lending transactions. He has represented developers in the acquisition, development and financing of retail, hotel, resort, multifamily, office, warehouse and industrial properties; banks and other financial institutions in financing and working out real estate transactions; banks and other financial institutions in commercial lending transactions; and landlords and tenants in office and retail leasing transactions. Steven has also represented clients in identifying and handling environmental issues associated with these transactions.
He served as an adjunct faculty member of Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University from 1993 through 2005 and has taught classes in real estate and in commercial lending.

Mr. Wilson has completed transactions including:
- Development and construction financing for a mixed-use (retail, big-box, and multi-family residential) development;
- Development of a 700-acre Texas property for retail, office and multi-family uses;
- Non-bankruptcy restructure of multiple partnership, multi-state loan relationship between a money center bank and a major real estate developer;
- Sale-Leaseback transactions involving 63 retail store properties in twelve states;
- Equipment lease financing; and
- Financing of a package of 31 hotel properties in 17 states.

Represented publicly traded energy exploration and production company in connection with a $225 million sale-leaseback of a natural gas liquids pipeline gathering system.
Panda Power Funds/Sherman Gas-Fired Power Plant
Represented Panda Power Funds in the secured financing of the development of a natural gas-fired power plant in Sherman, Texas.
Acquisition of Texas Apartment Portfolio, Approximately 2,800 Units
Texas counsel and acquisition counsel in connection with an acquisition of nine apartment properties, in an approximately 2,800-unit project apartment portfolio.
Financing of 230,000 Square-Foot Inwood Village Shopping Center in Dallas, Texas
Counsel to L&B Realty Advisors and its advisory client, a state pension plan, in connection with refinancing of the Inwood Village Shopping Center, a 230,000 square-foot retail commercial space.
Refinancing for a Major Natural Gas Supplier
Real estate counsel for lender in a $350 million refinancing for a major natural gas supplier secured by multi-state pipeline assets, generation assets, and storage facilities.
Bond Financing for Major Power Company
Real estate counsel for underwriter in a $1 billion bond financing for a major power company secured by two Texas power plants.
Debt Restructure and Collections
Represented Southwest Savings Association, Bonnet Resources, Amresco, and Sunbelt Savings Association in connection with the collection of hundreds of loans including, real property foreclosures, personal property foreclosures, litigation, demands for payment, restructurings, and bankruptcies. These loans covered all industries and involved many novel factual and legal issues.
Development of Multi-Use Community
Development, financing, partnership, and leasing of Victory Park, a new 75-acre office, hotel, retail and residential community in downtown Dallas, adjacent to the American Airlines Center.
