Vera Suarez is a registered patent attorney in the Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Groups in the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone, LLP.
Prior to joining the firm, Vera worked domestically and internationally as a consultant engineer for a large engineering and insurance firm. In addition to her law degree, Vera holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering.
Representative Experience
- Preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patents in various arts, including mechanical systems, computer software, and ophthalmology.
- Participating in due diligence projects in association with corporate mergers and deal structuring.
- GeoTag Inc. v. Gucci America, Inc., et al. - Defended HRsmart and its customers against GeoTag in a major patent infringement case in the Eastern District of Texas involving job locater technology against hundreds of defendants and successfully negotiated a settlement after months of litigation.
Vera is also a member of the Attorney Diversity Committee at Haynes and Boone, LLP, which focuses on advancing the hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse lawyers within the firm.
