14th Annual Houston Employment Law Update

Employers continue to face an ever-increasing volume and variety of workplace-related lawsuits creating challenges for general counsels and human resource professionals. This program will focus on current liability trends and strategies to reduce employers' exposure.

Who should attend: In-House Counsel and Human Resources Professionals.

This seminar will be presented by experienced Haynes and Boone attorneys who exclusively practice employment and labor law. Haynes and Boone Employment & Labor attorneys regularly advise clients on ways to reduce the risk of employment litigation, and defend them when it cannot be avoided. Further, our immigration practitioners ensure that clients maintain a solid understanding of immigration law and sound policies from which to manage their foreign national workforce. This program will include a discussion from a member of our employee benefits group on the new Health Care Reform Law.

This course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 5.5 credit hours, of which 0.75 credit hours will apply to legal ethics/professional responsibility credit. Also, this program has been approved for 6.0 (General) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute and approved for 6.0 CPE Credit Hours.
