Partners Nicolas Borda and Phil Lookadoo will speak at the Gulf Coast Power Association’s Mexico Electric Power Market Conference on May 16, 2018 in Mexico City.
Nicolas Borda will speak on a panel titled “New Transmission Siting and Ownership Issues,” which will discuss the Baja and Oaxaca projects as there is about $10B in transmission investment identified to modernize the grid. The panel will address if there will be private participation or just CFE as well as how the grid will adjust for renewables.
Phil Lookadoo will speak on a panel titled “Project Finance for New Generation Capacity,” which will identify the challenges to financing new generation, if banks are adapting new risk structures due to the changing market and how Clean Energy Certificates (CEL) fit into the risk.
