Infrastructure Opportunities in Brazil - Houston

July 14, 2010
This luncheon seminar will address the numerous upcoming infrastructure opportunities in Brazil. High profile events such as the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, coupled with strong domestic growth, have created an immediate need for the development of ports, airports, roads, railways, subways, power plants, stadiums, and tourist and entertainment facilities. For example, Brazil launched the second phase of its National Growth Acceleration Program, opening up US$220.2 billion in infrastructure opportunities for foreign investment in Brazil for the period 2011 to 2014.

These developments will require substantial investment by both the public and private sectors, and Brazil is looking to the private sector (national and international) to play an important role.
