OSHA Update 2017 Houston

May 04, 2017

Worker safety and compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations are critical parts of day-to-day business for most companies. Even with changes in the Administration, the agency will not alter its fundamental mission to investigate and respond to workplace hazards that could expose employees to significant injuries or illnesses. The change in Administration does, however, create uncertainty regarding compliance for certain regulations and interpretations.

Join members of Haynes and Boone's OSHA and Workplace Disasters Practice Group for a practical discussion and update about the latest trends in both OSHA compliance and enforcement amid the change in Administration, including what your organization needs to know now.

Key topics include:

  • Status of various OSHA recordkeeping rules and initiatives
  • Current state of the agency's view of post-accident drug testing and safety incentive programs
  • OSHA Temporary Worker Initiative
  • Whistleblower initiatives and legal developments
  • Status of other controversial regulations or interpretations, including the Silica rule and the Union Walk Around guidance
  • Other "hot" topics
