PRESENTATION MATERIALS

Haynes and Boone, LLP presented Projects in Mexico - Business and Environmental Regulations Update on September 29 in Houston.

As upstream energy, pipeline, power and manufacturing companies rapidly expand into Mexico, an understanding of Mexico's evolving business and environmental regulations is critical.

Attendees joined Haynes and Boone for a presentation about economic development in Mexico, including an overview of the opportunities created by last year's energy reform, pertinent regulatory considerations and the environmental implications of doing business in Mexico.

Speakers included:

  • Max Yzaguirre, president and CEO of The Yzaguirre Group, is a former chairman of the Public Utility Commission of Texas. He also previously served as president at Hunt-Mexico and as president of Enron's Mexico operations.
  • Hector Herrera, partner at Haynes and Boone, has more than 27 years of experience practicing law in Mexico, particularly in the areas of Environmental Law and Water Law. He focuses primarily on environmental issues and provides legal assistance and representation for domestic and foreign companies doing business in Mexico.
