Current Developments in Brazil: The very significant development of Brazil?s hydrocarbon reserves in recent years has driven huge growth in a number of sectors of the oil and gas industry. Already a major energy consumer and one of the world?s largest ethanol producers, Brazil?s large crude oil reserves make it a new and important player in the global energy market. New technologies and new discoveries headline Brazil?s boom, and direct foreign investment is increasing. Our panelists will discuss major developments and key drivers in Brazil?s new-found prominence among the energy producing states.

Our panel will explore best practices on how one develops and succeeds in an international law practice. After a discussion of the different types of international law practices and identifying those that show the most promise in today?s marketplace, the panelists will provide insights on how to become an international lawyer immediately out of law school or to migrate from another practice to handle international matters. The panel will also share tips on developing and growing such a practice as a young lawyer, including navigating the typical pitfalls one encounters along the way.
