Noted Health Care Lawyer Joins Haynes and Boone
DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP has added Michael Silhol to its Dallas office as of counsel in the health care practice group.
“Michael’s tenure with some of the nation’s leading health care companies has provided him with unprecedented experience in the legal issues and day-to-day operational challenges facing large, multi-hospital systems and the companies they do business with,” said Partner Stacy Brainin. “He will be an excellent complement to our interdisciplinary health care practice and a huge advocate for Haynes and Boone clients.”

Mr. Silhol is the former senior vice president and general counsel at Parkland Health & Hospital System, one of the nation’s leading public academic medical centers with more than 9,000 employees and annual revenues more than $1 billion. Prior to joining Parkland, Mr. Silhol was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Radiologix, Inc, a publicly-traded national provider of medical imaging services, which was acquired in 2006 by RadNet, Inc. Mr. Silhol also served as vice president of legal operations for Triad Hospitals, Inc., acquired by Community Health Systems, Inc., and as operations counsel for HCA, Inc. Mr. Silhol is certified in health law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is on the board of directors of the American Health Lawyers Association, and served on the board of governors of the Federation of American Hospitals.
In his practice at Haynes and Boone, Mr. Silhol will represent health care industry clients in matters ranging from general corporate operations to contracts, mergers and acquisitions and compliance issues. His clients will include multi-hospital systems, general acute care and specialty hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, physician practices, ancillary providers and surgery centers.
