Haynes and Boone Advises Wingate Partners in Preferred Compounding Acquisition
Haynes and Boone, LLP represented Wingate Partners in its recent acquisition of Preferred Compounding Corp., a supplier of proprietary and custom mixed rubber compounds with manufacturing plants in Tallapoosa, Ga.; Huntingdon, Tenn.; Fruithurst, Ala.; and Barberton, Ohio (company headquarters). Preferred Compounding was previously owned by The Watermill Group of Lexington, Mass.
Dallas Partner Tom Yang led the mergers and acquisitions team that included associates Matt Zmigrosky and Jody Absher. Partner Scott Night and Associate Derek Akin served as the finance team on the deal. Partner Susan Wetzel led the employee benefits team of associates Chris Kang, Nellie Strong and James Williamson. Austin Partner Mary Mendoza assisted with environmental matters, Associate Keenan Kolendo assisted with real estate matters and Partner Brandon Jones assisted with tax matters.
