Michael Boone Inducted into Junior Achievement Dallas Business Hall of Fame
DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP has been honored for its 40-year history of business and civic leadership with the naming of Michael M. Boone as one of Junior Achievement’s four 2010 Dallas Business Hall of Fame Laureates.
Junior Achievement’s Dallas Business Hall of Fame celebrates “the best of the best” in the Dallas business community. Mr. Boone joins fellow inductees Joseph M. (Jody) Grant of Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc., Thomas C. Leppert of Turner Corporation and Legacy Laureate Rodger R. Meier of Meier Cadillac.
According to Junior Achievement of Dallas, the honorees have made Dallas a better place to live and work through their business and philanthropic commitment.
“Haynes and Boone is the success story behind this recognition,” Mr. Boone said. “It has been my honor to watch this firm grow through the dedication, teamwork and leadership of our outstanding lawyers and staff. Each one of them shares a passion for being the best at what they do and for building a leading U.S. law firm that serves clients on a global basis. I am also especially proud that our people have been very active in civic affairs and in giving back to their communities. The collective efforts of our lawyers and staff have made this great honor possible.”
Haynes and Boone’s Dallas office marked its 40th anniversary in 2010. The firm has grown from two lawyers in Dallas to 550 lawyers spread across 12 offices and practicing in more than 30 areas of law.
Mr. Boone credits the firm’s unique teamwork culture for its lasting success. “Our culture of teamwork is our DNA,” he said. “It is what differentiates us in the marketplace.”
Managing Partner Terry Conner reiterated those sentiments, highlighting the firm’s focus on client service. “Everything we do as a firm – from strategic growth decisions down to individual case strategy – is focused first on the needs of the client,” he said. “That philosophy was embraced from the very start of the firm. We haven’t veered from that standard and it has never steered us wrong.”
The 13th Annual Junior Achievement Dallas Business Hall of Fame will honor its 2010 Laureates at an InterContinental Dallas reception on April 30. Southwest Airlines CEO and 1999 Laureate Herb Kelleher will serve as honorary chair.
