For more than 20 years, Henry has appeared in courtrooms and boardrooms across the country, representing clients in matters that involve numerous industries, including energy, aviation, shipping, real estate, retail and financial services. Most recently, Henry helped a regional sports network emerge from bankruptcy in a case involving significant corporate governance and financial disputes among a major cable network and professional sports teams from Major League Baseball and the NBA. Henry was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Woodward/White, Inc., 2016, for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, and Litigation - Bankruptcy. He was also named a “Lawyer of the Year” in Bankruptcy Litigation by The Best Lawyers in America, Woodward/White, Inc., in 2015, and was selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters, for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights in 2015.
Henry has served in bar association leadership roles, including a term as chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Houston Bar Association, and a three-year term as a council member of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Texas. Among other bar-related projects, Henry is proud of his involvement in the development and implementation of the MoneyWise financial education program for high school students, for which the State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Section presented Henry with a Section Community Service Award.
Henry is a frequent speaker and author regarding substantive bankruptcy topics and trial practice in insolvency litigation. Recently, Henry co-authored "Experts in Bankruptcy Litigation," a chapter of the American Bar Association’s book Litigators on Experts.
