Profile

Justin Gilleland is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Denver office of Haynes and Boone. His practice focuses on patent and trademark filing and prosecution, portfolio analysis and counseling, and fighting knockoffs and counterfeits in e-commerce.

Justin has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications in a broad spectrum of technologies and industry sectors, including automotive design and accessories, medical devices, drones, photovoltaic systems, fitness equipment and training devices, luggage, oral irrigators, shower heads, window coverings, corrugated pallets, firearm accessories, agricultural devices, cosmetics, beverage dispensers, and geophysical monitoring.

Prior to practicing law, Justin worked domestically as a mechanical engineer on various projects over multiple states, including combined-cycle power plants, ethanol production, and copper mining, extraction and refinement.
