Michael Goodman assists a wide array of companies with compliance, intellectual property, and other legal needs in the food, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, dietary supplement, and consumer products industries. From a small dietary supplement company with significant FDA compliance issues to a large, publicly traded pharmaceutical company issuing a new round of securities, Michael helps companies navigate regulatory compliance and avoid needless delays in their operations. He also regularly prepares, reviews, and negotiates contracts and other documents involving supply and distribution, advertising, and manufacturing agreements as well as assists with stock and asset purchase agreements.

In addition, his experience focuses on a holistic perspective in intellectual property portfolio building and enforcement. This lifecycle approach gives Michael’s clients the assurance that he has the industry knowledge and legal expertise to be a strategic partner as his clients pursue their long-term goals, taking into account the larger context that surrounds each short-term goal or task.

Michael is able to bring this unique lifecycle approach to his clients because he has almost a decade of experience working in the industries of those clients he now represents. Before joining Haynes and Boone, Michael worked as a pharmaceutical consultant focusing on quality assurance and regulatory affairs. Michael has deep experience working with pharmaceutical, medical device, and dietary supplement companies through recalls, audits, filings, and regulatory responses. Michael has also taken temporary leadership roles in several companies in order to ensure compliance with FDA regulations.

Haynes and Boone Helps Colorado Client Obtain ITC Orders Against Patent Infringers

A Haynes and Boone team led by Denver Partner Robert Ziemian helped a firm client, Nite Ize, Inc., (Nite Ize) secure a General Exclusion Order from the International Trade Commission (ITC) excluding from importation all products covered by certain Nite Ize patents related to their Steelie ecosystem of hands-free mobile device mounts. Additionally, the ITC issued 16 specific exclusion orders against primarily Chinese companies, preventing them from importing knockoff mobile device holders into the United States.
