Don Lawrence is an of counsel in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Orange County office of Haynes and Boone. He focuses on intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent prosecution, opinions, and counseling. Areas of technical concentration include telecommunications, semiconductor manufacturing and packaging, mechanical devices, and semiconductor processing equipment.

Don was IP Counsel at L.A. Gear, Inc., where he created, maintained, and enforced large international patent and trademark portfolios, as well as negotiated, drafted, and monitored patent, trademark, copyright, and know-how licensing and cross-licensing agreements. At L.A. Gear, Don also managed several large litigation matters in state and federal courts, including patent and trademark infringement matters.

In addition to his law degree, Don holds a B.S.M.E. degree in mechanical engineering and a M.S.E. degree in systems engineering. He is currently pursuing an M.S.E.E. at California State University, Los Angeles.
