Eric Owens is a patent agent whose practice focuses on the preparation of domestic and international patent applications with a concentration in the life, pharmaceutical and chemical sciences. He has vast firsthand experience in all levels of medical technology from intraoperative imaging to pharmaceuticals and the development of new synthetic routes.

Eric’s experience prior to joining the firm includes helping manage a medicinal chemistry laboratory while performing research involving imaging technology and drug development. Through his research in these fields, Eric frequently contributes to articles in highly prestigious scientific journals, such as Nature Medicine and Angewandte Chemie, with more than 28 peer-reviewed publications as either primary or co-author.

During Eric’s research endeavors, he also served as an intern in the Emory University Office of Technology Transfer where he gained experience in the patenting and licensing of new intellectual property in the medical, life, chemical and materials sciences.
