Pablo Sansot is a foreign associate in the International Practice Group in the Mexico City office of Haynes and Boone. Pablo has extensive experience in advising companies on their cross-border Latin American and Caribbean projects. He has also worked on numerous multiple jurisdiction projects, particularly in the Americas. Recently, he has been active advising clients in the aviation sector in connection with the inaugural flights to Cuba.

Pablo has extensive experience in aviation, energy and in natural resources and energy projects gained in one of the largest law firms in Argentina.

Selected Client Representations

  • Represented one of the largest U.S. airlines in the post-merger restructuring of its international operations in more than 54 countries, including corresponding regulatory approvals in all foreign markets where it operates. My participation consisted of counseling in several matters such as corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, and tax work throughout Latin America and the Caribbean (its largest foreign market region), as well as other parts of the world. 
  • Assisted a Chinese company in the acquisition of a participating interest in an oil and gas on-going project in Argentina. My participation consisted in providing counseling with regards to Argentine law and drafting of the deal documents. 
  • Provided legal advice to an American company in the acquisition of a solar project in Chile. My participation consisted in the due diligence and risk evaluation. 
  • Assisted one of the largest U.S. airlines to establish its operations in Cuba. My participation consisted in providing counseling in several matters such as commercial, regulatory and active negotiation with Cuban authorities. 
  • Represented U.S. architectural firm in connection with the termination by the Costa Rican government on a public bid for a public-private partnership for the Pococi Correctional Facility in Costa Rica and related litigation.
  • Advised Hyatt International in acquiring strategic minority interest in Oasis Luxury Rentals Inc. in various Spanish-speaking jurisdictions.
  • Negotiated agreements related to the acquisition of Argentine, Chilean and Uruguayan petrochemical distribution companies valued at US$ 60 million by a German company. 
  • Represented a private company in the first natural gas re-gasification project in Argentina (LNG). 
  • Provided legal advice to the Argentine wholesale electric market administration company. 
  • Participated on an exploration project for non-conventional resources in Argentina and participated in the negotiation of the extension of the respective exploration permits guaranteed by the Province. 
  • Drafted agreements with Argentine major gas producers related to provision and transportation of gas for industrial consumers. 
  • Provided legal advice and court filings to challenge charges fixed by National Government. The dispute involved an underlying claim of US$70 million. 
  • Active member of the team that represented the largest Argentine Urea producer in a US$45 million claim brought by a gas transportation company in relation to three gas transportation agreements. 
  • Advised a mining company in the acquisition of lithium mining rights in the Province of Salta, Argentina and daily legal advised.
