Profile

Yongjin Zhu is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office of Haynes and Boone. His practice focuses on patent litigation with an emphasis on representing generic companies in actions brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act. Yongjin also counsels clients on infringement, validity, and enforceability of patents, and obtaining and managing portfolios of U.S. and foreign patent and other IP rights.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Yongjin was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and staff member in the Center for Nano- & Molecular Science and Technology at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to his law degree, Yongjin holds a Ph.D. in Biological/Physical Chemistry and a B.S. in Biology.
