DALLAS – Recently, Haynes and Boone, LLP, a Texas-based, full-service law firm, was honored with the Angel of Freedom Award, which is presented to individuals and/or organizations that are instrumental in the success of Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, Inc. (HRI) throughout the year.

“This year HRI selected Haynes and Boone for its exceptional level of pro bono legal assistance provided to individuals in need.  The award was also presented to Haynes and Boone because of their total firm commitment and support for our clients,” said Kim Rafalski, director of volunteer services, HRI.  “Haynes and Boone worked together as an impressive team to aid others in need and we are honored to give the 2002 Angel of Freedom Award to this outstanding firm.”

An example of the outstanding pro bono assistance provided to HRI throughout the year by Haynes and Boone was its participation and success in several immigration asylum cases. The firm’s contributions in these cases helped those who were seeking asylum achieve their dream of freedom here in America.  “Haynes and Boone was honored to receive the Angel of Freedom Award for 2002,” said Alan Wright, partner with Haynes and Boone.  “The firm looks forward to continuing its commitment to providing quality pro bono legal assistance to the community.”
