Haynes and Boone Expands its Washington Expertise With Senior Justice Department Hire

WASHINGTON – Haynes and Boone, an international law firm, is pleased to announce that James Wade has joined the partnership in its newly expanded Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Wade joins the firm after a nine-year term as a Chief in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division.

As Chief in the DOJ Antitrust Division, Mr. Wade directed the enforcement activities of a large staff responsible for overseeing competition issues in industries including radio, television and newspapers; music and motion pictures; entertainment; publishing; credit cards and payment systems; and medical imaging devices. He was directly responsible for the oversight of complex civil litigation, including antitrust enforcement matters under the Sherman Act, as well as merger review cases. He also played a key role in the development and implementation of policies affecting all aspects of the Antitrust Division’s enforcement mission.

In his new role at Haynes and Boone, Mr. Wade will serve as a local lead for the majority of the firm’s East Coast Antitrust work.
