HOUSTON – Haynes and Boone LLP, an international corporate law firm, announced Friday that partner Chris Wolfe has been appointed to the Industry Trade Advisory Committee (ITAC) for Services and Finance Industries by U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez and Ambassador Rob Portman, the United States Trade Representative.

Wolfe will serve on the committee until February 17, 2010.  The ITAC is responsible for advising the federal government on the international environment for U.S. business, including trade barriers and the negotiation of trade agreements.  The committee provides policy and technical advice, as well as making recommendations to the Secretary of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative.

Houston-based Wolfe, a graduate of the University of Texas, the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Texas McCombs Graduate School of Business, serves as head of Haynes and Boone’s business planning and tax practice group.
