DALLAS / MEXICO CITYChambers Latin America 2013 recently recognized Haynes and Boone, LLP and its Mexican affiliate Haynes and Boone, SC for its leading work in three different categories in Latin America and Mexico. The firm and its lawyers were recognized in the areas of Latin America-wide corporate / M&A and international arbitration. The Chambers Mexico-wide ranking included Haynes and Boone in its banking & finance, corporate / M&A, and real estate categories.

Additionally, the guide highlighted seven of the firm’s lawyers for individual recognition in the following practice areas: corporate / M&A, capital markets, banking and finance, projects, international arbitration, projects, energy and natural resources, capital markets, and real estate.

In Mexico City, Ariel Ramos was ranked Band 1 in two categories, projects and energy and natural resources, respectively. The firm was also ranked Band 3 for banking and finance and real estate, respectively, and Band 4 in Corporate / M&A in the Mexico-wide legal ranking.

Chambers once again ranked Haynes and Boone in its Latin America-wide Corporate/M&A category with the legal listing citing the firm “has built a great reputation for its work with energy clients," while Pascal was individually recognized for his work in this practice.

“We are very honored by the recognition and the trust our clients put in us for important matters,” said Larry Pascal, chair of the firm’s Americas Practice Group and Band 5 honoree for Corporate/M&A. “We are also very pleased to continue to attract great lawyers to our Latin American practice at the firm.”

Since publication of the directory, Haynes and Boone has also announced a Cooperation Agreement with the Rio de Janeiro oil and gas / energy firm MMA Lawyers, expanding its presence to South America.
