Chambers Latin America 2014 Highlights Haynes and Boone

DALLAS / MEXICO CITYChambers Latin America 2014 has singled out Haynes and Boone, LLP and its Mexican affiliate, Haynes and Boone, SC, for leading work in five Latin America and Mexico business law categories.

The firm was recognized in the categories of Latin America-wide corporate / M&A, while the Chambers Mexico-wide ranking included Haynes and Boone for aviation, banking and finance, corporate/M&A, energy and natural resources, and real estate.

In addition, the guide highlighted eight of the firm’s lawyers for individual recognition in the following practice areas: corporate / M&A, international arbitration, banking and finance, capital markets, dispute resolution: arbitration, energy and natural resources, international trade/ WTO, projects and real estate.

Chambers Latin America noted that the firm’s corporate/ M&A practice has “seen a number of lateral hires of late, which have greatly broadened the scope of its Latin American offering.” The publication also recognized Pascal in this category, saying that he “plays a key role on many of the firm's regional deals.”

Of Counsel Cecilia Flores was individually recognized in the Latin America International Arbitration category, where researchers praised her as "one of the leaders of the next generation in Mexico." Flores was also recognized in the Mexico City Dispute Resolution: Arbitration category.

Haynes and Boone made its debut in the aviation category of the Mexico-wide listing with a Band 3 ranking with researchers noting the “Mexico City office has a predominant focus on regulatory matters within the aviation field.” The firm also repeated its Band 3 ranking for both banking and finance and real estate, and Band 4 for corporate / M&A.

Mexico City Partner Ariel Ramos received a Band 1 in two categories - projects and energy and natural resources - in the Mexico-wide listing, with sources calling him as "one of the best energy lawyers in Mexico.”
