05/22/2015

Haynes and Boone, LLP has been recognized in the 2015 Law360 Minority Report as a Top 50 firm for both minority attorneys and minority partners.

For the first time, Law360 has ranked the 100 best U.S. law firms for racial minorities, based on the firms' minority representation at the partner and non-partner levels and their total number of minority attorneys. On the Top 100 List for Minority Attorneys Haynes and Boone was ranked No. 37 and on the list for the 50 Best Firms for Minority Partners the firm rated No. 40.

“We are very pleased to be included among these other top national firms,” said Tim Powers, the firm’s managing partner. “At Haynes and Boone, diversity is an important and integral part of firm culture. We recognize that diverse legal teams produce a better product, and we strive continuously to build a law firm that reflects the diversity of our clients and the communities in which we work.”

Haynes and Boone has long been recognized as a pioneer in the area of diversity. The firm’s Attorney Diversity and Inclusion Committee develops initiatives that open doors and create windows of opportunity, with the goal of advancing the hiring, retention and promotion of diverse lawyers in our firm, including minority attorneys. In addition to minority attorney initiatives, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee has sub-committees that focus on women, working parents, pipeline and LGBT initiatives.

Law360 surveyed 289 U.S. firms about their overall and minority head count numbers as of December 31, 2014. Only U.S.-based attorneys were included in the survey. The complete report is available on the Law360 website.
