Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Henry Welch has been named a Northern California Rising Star in the 2018 Super Lawyers directory, published by Thomson Reuters. Welch, who is based in the Palo Alto office, is listed for intellectual property law practice. This is Welch’s third selection as a Northern California Rising Star.
Welch has a doctorate in computer and systems engineering and brings extensive technical experience from more than 18 years as an engineering educator, researcher and consultant to his legal work on intellectual property, patent matters, and technology transactions. He also represents clients in trials before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and federal courts and has managed patent portfolios for Fortune 500 companies as well as small start-ups.
Rising Stars selections are compiled through peer nominations and research. Lawyers chosen are 40 or younger or have been practicing for less than 10 years. Only two percent of young lawyers are selected for the distinction.
