BTI Litigation Outlook lists Haynes and Boone Among Nation's Leading Firms

October 19, 2018

Corporate counsel rank Haynes and Boone, LLP among the nation’s leading litigation firms, according to a report released Oct. 18 by BTI Consulting Group Inc.

Titled “BTI Litigation Outlook 2019,” the report includes a listing of the “litigation powerhouse” firms that “corporate counsel tell us they are currently turning to for their most pressing litigation needs.”

“As litigation (of all types) continues to become more complex, corporate counsel turn to law firms they know and trust — and can sell to their leadership with little debate,” BTI said, noting that its litigation report is based on more than 350 in-depth telephone interviews of legal decision-makers at large organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue.

Corporate counsel, according to the report, rank Haynes and Boone among their “honor roll” of litigation powerhouse firms for complex commercial litigation and complex employment litigation matters.

The litigation ranking, BTI said, is based solely on its confidential telephone interviews with corporate counsel and is not sponsored by any law firm or organization other than BTI.

Haynes and Boone’s Litigation Department includes more than 100 lawyers who handle commercial litigation of all sizes. The firm represents industry leaders, such as AT&T, Exxon, Goldman Sachs, Halliburton and Tenet Healthcare; high-visibility clients such as the National Football League; and a variety of other clients, from banks and financial services companies to energy firms, manufacturers, technology and software companies, real estate firms, and nonprofit institutions.

Haynes and Boone lawyers’ experience runs the gamut of issues and legal fields, from multistate climate-change litigation and complex employment-discrimination cases to oil and gas litigation, intellectual property disputes and high-profile class actions.

The firm was also earlier recognized for client service in the BTI Consulting “Client Service A-Team” ranking for 2018. Haynes and Boone was named to BTI’s “Client Service Honor Roll” in all 17 of the 17 activities that clients consider the drivers of superior client relationships. It is the 15th straight year the firm was listed in the “Client Service A-Team” ranking.
