Haynes and Boone Receives Gold Standard Certification for Women’s Initiatives
DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP is the recipient of a 2011 Women In Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) Gold Standard Certification for successfully demonstrating that women represent a meaningful percentage of the firm’s equity partners, highest leadership positions, membership in governance and compensation committees, and that they are among the most highly compensated partners.
“Our firm has a strong history of recruiting, retaining and promoting diverse attorneys, including women attorneys,” said Felicity Fowler, chair of the Haynes and Boone Attorney Diversity Committee. “Our outstanding group of women attorneys plays a pivotal role in our firm’s past, present and future development. We are fortunate to work at an organization that supports and promotes our firm’s diversity efforts and understands that diversity breeds bright ideas and high-quality legal services.”
The Gold Standard Certification is the only program of its kind directed toward certifying, publicly recognizing and broadly publicizing eligible law firms that have integrated women into the highest leadership positions in the firm.
Representatives of firms who have received the certification will attend the Gold Standard Awards Luncheon on Sept. 13 at The Yale Club in New York City.
WILEF celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2011. Its vision is to create a dialogue that educates women in law firms on how to become leaders in the workplace and in the community by building, exercising and implementing a strong sense of empowerment.
