March 23, 2016

Lawyers with the Haynes and Boone, LLP New York commercial leasing practice handled four of the top six New York office leasing deals inked in February, according to an analysis of CoStar Group data.

The firm was involved in the No. 1-ranked lease in which Partner Noah Shapiro and Associate Lauren Margiano represented landlord L&L Holding Co. in connection with securing a 211,400-square-foot space at 425 Park Avenue in Manhattan's Plaza District for the Citadel Investment Group, a hedge fund.

The other leases in the Top 6 were:

  • No. 3 – Partner Russ Rabinovich and Margiano represented Fisher Brothers in connection with a 124,069-square-foot lease with the UBS Group at 299 Park Avenue.
  • No. 4 – Shapiro and Counsel Linda Herman represented Grovo Learning in leasing of 70,140 square feet at 50 West 23rd Street.
  • No. 6 – Shapiro and Rabinovich represented Brookfield Office Properties in connection with the leasing of 44,025 square feet by AMB Industries at 1 Liberty Plaza in Lower Manhattan.

The impressive February results came on the heels of January performance that showed the group participated in two of the Top 10 New York leasing deals recorded by CoStar.

"We are gratified that our clients have called upon the lawyers of the Haynes and Boone commercial leasing group to handle increasingly complex and demanding transactions on their behalf," Shapiro said. "The robust pace so far this year bodes well for our practice. We look forward to a very busy 2016."
