Haynes and Boone Advises Technical Response Planning Corp. in Merger

Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner George Y. Gonzalez led a deal team that advised client Technical Response Planning Corp. (TRP) in connection with the acquisition of TRP by Jensen Hughes, a global leader in safety, security and risk-based engineering and consulting.

The acquisition was announced Feb. 11; financial terms were not disclosed.

TRP is a market leader and pioneer in emergency management and business continuity planning software and consulting mainly for the power, oil and gas industry, and more recently the automotive, manufacturing and transportation industries. Headquartered in Houston, TRP was founded in 1995 by Steve Bassine as an opportunity to provide innovative response planning to the oil and gas industry in which he had spent most of his career. The company serves over 50 accounts globally, including Chevron and BP, and continues to grow.

The Haynes and Boone team also included 12 other lawyers spanning multiple offices (Houston, Dallas, New York City) and practice areas (Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Tax and Litigation.)
