July 16, 2019

Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Jennifer Wisinski, chair of the Business Transactions Department, has been selected among the Top USA Women Dealmakers of 2019 by the Global M&A Network, LLC.

Wisinski was one of 22 women dealmakers nationwide who were selected for the honor. She accepted her award during a ceremony held in conjunction with the USA Growth & Deals Intelligence Forum and the USA M&A Atlas Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. on July 11.

“Jennifer deserves to be recognized among the nation’s top dealmakers for her skill and dedication to client service,” said Haynes and Boone Partner Tom Harris, chair of the firm’s M&A Practice Group.

Sponsored by the Global M&A Network, the Top USA Women Dealmaker Awards recognize the achievements of women in the private equity, lending, legal, financial advisory and restructuring industries. Honorees for the highly competitive and prestigious awards are selected based on their practice, deal execution record, prominence and influence among clients, colleagues, and peers.

Wisinski recently was part of a Haynes and Boone team that represented Stream Energy in the sale of its retail electricity and natural gas business to NRG Energy Inc. for $300 million plus working capital in an all-cash transaction.

She also worked with a team of lawyers on a deal short-listed this year by both Global M&A Network and D CEO Magazine for M&A Awards. The Haynes and Boone team represented KMG Chemicals, Inc., a global specialty chemicals supplier, in its $1.6 billion cash and stock merger with Cabot Microelectronics Corporation pursuant to which KMG became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cabot.

Wisinski has more than 20 years of experience in a broad range of transactions, from capital markets transactions to private and public company mergers and acquisitions. In the capital markets area, she focuses on efficiently and successfully helping public company clients complete both equity offerings and debt refinancings involving the issuance of debt securities and the retirement of existing debt through tender offers. Wisinski has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions including negotiated cash and stock-for-stock mergers, going private transactions, as well as hostile tender offers and proxy contests. In addition, she counsels clients on activism and anti-takeover matters, general securities laws compliance, and corporate governance issues.
