Haynes and Boone, LLP Energy Practice leader Buddy Clark recently appeared on Bloomberg's "What'd You Miss?" to discuss oil patch borrowing and why banks are scaling back on shale credit lines.
Clark told Bloomberg’s Alix Steel and Tracy Alloway that the bank credit markets for energy exploration and production companies may be drying up but other avenues may be opening.
"My guess is the source of capital going forward -- say, for companies exiting bankruptcy or companies healthy enough to try to acquire assets from a bankruptcy sale -- that capital will be coming from the private equity folks," Clark said.
