Universal Truckload, Inc. v. Dalton Logistics, Inc., et. al., In the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, 2017

On behalf of a global independent energy company, defeated all claims by the plaintiff who asserted that our client was presumed liable for payment for transportation of rig equipment in North Dakota under federal transportation law. Plaintiff was seeking more than $1.5 million dollars in transportation charges, penalties, interest, and attorney’s fees. The Court granted our client's motion for summary judgment on all claims and fully denied plaintiff's cross motion for summary judgment against our client.
