Walter Schleimer practices commercial real estate law, with a primary focus on finance transactions. Mr. Schleimer regularly represents investment banks, commercial banks, debt funds and foreign lending institutions in their mortgage loan, mezzanine loan, preferred equity and other complex real estate transactions. Mr. Schleimer also represents investment funds and REITs in their financing transactions, including structured loans, syndicated loans, subscription lines and other credit facilities. Mr. Schleimer represents institutional lenders and borrowers in their loan work-outs and restructurings, including complex CMBS restructures, as well as matters that result in mortgage foreclosure, UUC sale or other enforcement proceedings or bankruptcy resolution. Mr. Schleimer represents institutional owners and developers in acquisition, joint venture, redevelopment, sales, and other traditional real estate transactions.
