We are pleased to announce that the fifth edition of “The Law of Shipbuilding Contracts” (first published in 1991) has now been published.
Simon Curtis, the sole author of the previous four editions, is joined as authors of this latest edition by Haynes and Boone partner William Cecil and by Ian Gaunt, president of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association 2017-2020.
The new edition updates and expands on the fourth edition, which was published in 2012. It has been comprehensively updated, including commentary on recent High Court decisions on shipbuilding contracts and the ancillary agreements to a shipbuilding project, including refund guarantees. The new edition includes for the first time additional commentary on offshore construction contracts.
