The Denver Business Journal (DBJ) last week named Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner John D. Fognani among the “Who’s Who in Energy” in 2018 for his contributions to the Colorado energy industry.
Fognani will be honored with other 2018-2019 honorees at a Dec. 6 event in Denver, where the “Who’s Who” winners will talk with DBJ energy reporter Greg Avery about issues important to the industry.
Here is an excerpt of the DBJ article:
“Fognani’s practice emphasizes resource project development, public lands issues, surface rights, access and use, project finance and compliance with federal, state and local mining and oil and gas laws.”

Fognani is also involved in transactions involving alternative energy and clean fuels. He has represented various resource clients internationally and domestically in transactions and was involved earlier in his career in a number of administrative and judicial challenges to various environmental and resource industry laws and regulations. He previously served for 10 years as general counsel for Ivanhoe Capital Corp. and Ivanhoe Mines Ltd.
