Ken Bezozo in Law360: Haynes and Boone Snaps Up More Space at NYC's 30 Rock

Haynes and Boone, LLP has snatched up an additional 38,193 square feet of office space in the landmark 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the firm said Thursday, representing a tripling of space from the Dallas-based firm's early days in the New York market that it first entered a decade ago.

Haynes and Boone has picked up the entire 24th floor of the building that was previously occupied by financial advisory giant Lazard, giving the law firm a rare contiguous floor to add to the approximately 75,000 square feet of space it already occupied on the entire 25th and 26th floors of 30 Rock, Ken Bezozo, managing partner of Haynes and Boone’s New York office, told Law360 on Thursday.

Haynes and Boone now has nearly 113,000 square feet on three floors of one of New York’s most prestigious corporate addresses, making it 30 Rock’s third-largest tenant just behind Lazard and Deloitte LLP, according to Bezozo. 30 Rock is owned and managed by Tishman Speyer.

“You sit back and think to yourself that you’re at two floors with about 75,000 square feet and just eight or nine offices left until you’re completely full but you’re watching the rest of the industry sort of shrink, so do you add or do you stop and say, we’re fine,” Bezozo said. “It’s literally a problem of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. So my thought was, are we done? The answer is no. We’re on a roll and things are good.”
