Tim Powers in PEI: Perspectives 2014 - Leveraged Forecast

Finding attractive private equity investment opportunities didn’t get any easier in 2013...

In Europe, where the value of private equity-related loans has risen by nearly 50 percent year-on-year but still amounts to just a quarter of US lending, there are indications that 2014 will bring increased access to financing for private equity firms.

While you might see some early loss of capital going on with the European banks, it will also free them up to start making loans again.”
